Journalism changed the curriculum with new programs implemented two years ago in the career, a good thing about this change is that this new curriculum cover programs like economy and history, topics that i consider very important for the formation of each journalist.
I think that the workload of journalism, with my actual program that is not the new, is very bearable. The specific thing with that is there are periods of time without evaluated activities and the most of the teachers overload us at the end of the semester. I think that probably times are bad distributed.
About the changes of infrastructure in this campus i think that is really annoying for the fact that this started a long time ago and it is not ready yet. But, on the other hand i think that is important for this campus modernise and qualify its installations.
I don’t have many complaints about the technology in my department. Like student of film and journalism we always are needing equipments of sound and camera. ICEI has equipments for make the projects that teachers order us, but the thing is that these equipments are very few. So ICEI need more money to buy more of them.
About teaching methods i think that each teacher is a world so i think that is a topic very ample. Also is important to consider that ICEI is one of the few academic centers that allow its teachers develop their classes with freedom academic. So to finalize i think that journalism in ICEI is okay, obviously there are a lot of things to improve, but is a good program of journalism in a good university.
More money and more equipments for ICEI NOW please!
